Breaking through with the right Relationships

The problem with most Christians is that they want breakthrough and yet they don’t want to work on that breakthrough. If you do something about your situation, your tomorrow is intact. In doing business, for instance, there are times that even good business proposals and business plans, get rejected. This is probably because these plans are brilliant ideas but with no good capital.

The literal meaning of capital is wealth in the form of money or material thing or property or human resources, used in business by a person or a corporation. But it can also be as a human form or it can be a material or a property.

Let’s build on what we call the Relationship Capital.

“I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings. Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”

Luke 16:9-10:

What that verse simply means is God tells you to make friends with unrighteous mammon. Mammon is money, those who are rich but they are not holy. So there are certain things that you must have, like strategic relationships. Because if God will bless you, God will not throw the blessing from heaven, God will use a human being to bless you. And a lot of people here today are in different category of work; you have to have this relationship capital.

Take care and strengthen this capital. The people who have been in your life for 15 to 20 years who have not influenced your life positively – leave them. No apologies. Don’t let them fill your life if they have never improved your life spiritually, physically, financially or in any way. There are certain people that cannot come to your bedroom, there are certain friends that cannot even sit on your porch, instead you meet them at the gate. Keep them at bay. The quality of the people you keep around you matters in building this relationship capital.
